The Brief

Romeo & Juliet’s is a charming café created for dog lovers at the heart of Hampstead Garden Suburb. We were entrusted with delivering a full turnkey service, from early concept and layout planning to final interior design and styling. We also collaborated with the client on branding (including website and menu design) and initial marketing to bring R&J's Café to life.

Design Challenges & Solutions

Designing a café that welcomes both dogs and their humans meant thinking big and small-scale to understand the needs of every customer. We developed a spacious, pared-back table layout to allow plenty of room for four-legged friends and their two-legged owners to move comfortably. Within the restroom facilities, we cleverly integrated a baby changing station with a cosy dog bed tucked beneath. With limited space behind the counter, we worked closely with a consultant to ensure the menu could be prepped using minimal machinery.
